What is Hypnosis?

In simple terms, Hypnosis is a safe and natural process of deep relaxation.  Until recently it was assumed that it was similar to sleep, or that the mind was somehow unconscious. In reality, there is a specific state that the brain enters into when it is receptive to suggestion. This has been discovered in cerebral scans taken during hypnosis. The trance state is not an unusual or abnormal state of mind.  In fact, it may feel as if you are not in a hypnotic trance at all. Most mesmerized people simply feel more relaxed than usual.  When a person is masterfully mesmerized or entranced in any way, there is a change in the brainwave activity. This natural alteration is similar to that time just before someone smoothly slides into soothing sleep. It is known as the "alpha" state.

In your waking state is when beta brain wave activity is predominant. Just as you are going to sleep it changes to alpha and then to theta and then delta brain wave activity during deep sleep. The alpha state is a very dreamy, pleasant state. During this time the mind is very open to visualizations and creating a rich sensory experience. The more real the experience becomes in the subconscious mind during this state, the more effect it will have on your behavior.

We experience hypnosis every day and don't even know it!  Hypnosis  is a normal state of mind. Believe it or not, most people go in and out of the light trance state throughout each and every day.  When you are watching a fascinating film that just seems to oh so easily capture your attention, or if you are driving down a long and boring road, listening to music that captures a mood or engrosses you, you are actually experiencing a form of undirected hypnosis.  When you are in a guided hypnotic trance session, or driving down the road in trance, you have what can be referred to as an "Observer Self". Your "Observer Self" is an actual part of you that is always aware and watching out for you. This observer self has been documented as a credible aspect of our minds. It's sole mission is to keep us safe, even when asleep.  During hypnosis you can trust that your "Observer Self" will watch over you.

Keep in mind that this is not a mystical guide or spiritual being of any sort, it is a solely scientific discovery of a function of our brain.

Is Hypnosis Safe?

Did you know that- during a hypnosis session you would instantly get up and leave the room, if it caught on fire? This would happen, even if you had previously felt like your arms and legs were too heavy to move. In fact, since hypnosis can help make us mentally sharper and more emotionally aware, it actually may help keep us safer, by making us more  aware of our surroundings during the day. If your perception of what  is happening around you is better, you will notice things that are happening with greater clarity and perhaps make better decisions.

Will I Tell You All?

OF COURSE YOU WILL!  Just kidding....  Nooo... Not at all. You cannot be manipulated through hypnosis.  You can not be made to do anything that is not in keeping with your morals or your purpose for seeking hypnosis.  There is no surrender of the mind or control.  You will not divulge any information that you would not ordinarily divulge.  You always have a choice, and your brain does not stop functioning or reasoning.

However, the exciting part is that you may find that you discover some inner truths about yourself (and your sexuality) that you did not know on a conscious level.

Will I Remember?

Often a subject will request (as part of their fantasy) that they be made to forget what they have done or been told.  This is called posthypnotic amnesia.  Sometimes I may suggest that you forget what transpired, and occasionally this may have that effect. Don't worry, you will usually be aware of everything around you, and remember most, if not all, that happened in the session.

Hypnotized? Me?

Many people think they cannot be hypnotized.  The truth is EVERYONE can be hypnotized, once they understand and have the knowledge and awareness of what to expect.  And, in fact... A person who does not want to be hypnotized cannot be hypnotized or be induced to do or say anything which violates his or her own personal standards or ethics, behavior or integrity.

What is Stage Hypnosis?

Stage hypnosis seems to intrigue people very much so.  The publics opinion and concepts of what hypnosis is and can do has been largely formed as a result of watching hypnotists perform on television and at live shows.  Regardless of one's opinion of hypnosis as pure entertainment, there can be no arguing that stage hypnosis is fascinating and at times bewildering.  The stage hypnotists secret lies in selecting only those who are highly suggestible and can go quickly into the deeper stages of hypnosis.

About only 15% of the general population has the hypnotic capacity for stage hypnosis.  Most of us (approximately 65% of the population) experiences only a light to medium trance.  How do masses of people at a show (or in the audience) go under so quickly?  The key is expectation and motivation. The participants expect to be hypnotized and want to be hypnotized.  Some will go into trance simply because they believe the hypnotist has a special power.  But you don't have to believe in it for it to work.  Being open and willing is more important than belief.  It's fun!

A Fixation Device?

During a person's first hypnotic induction, the client's attention will be directed to, or allowed to settle upon, what is often called a fixation or induction device, point, or tool.  Any such term refers to a perceivable sensory stimulus upon which the conscious mind focuses for some time.  For example, suppose you were having your first in-person hypnosis session with me.  Your fixation device might be the depthless depths of my entrancing emerald eyes.  Your induction point could be a pretty, little pendant nicely nestled in the captivating cleavage bewitchingly between my breasts.  Perhaps the fixation tool for you will be a sexy, stiletto shoe delightfully dangling from the tantalizing toes on one of my fascinatingly feminine feet.  As the client's attention remains rapt upon the fixation device, the hypnotist will give some sort of suggestions encouraging the subject to become more relaxed.  Once the client is sufficiently relaxed and suggestible, that's when we get to the hypnosis session's real work or play or both!

What is a Trigger?

A hypnotic trigger can be any stimulus the previously mesmerized person can detect and differentiate.  Suppose after being hypnotized, the client was instructed to come back to a state of deep hypnosis whenever the mesmerized individual heard the hypnotist say, "Harpsichord."  The word "harpsichord" would be the subject's hypnotic trigger.

Post Hypnotic Suggestion?

A suggestion given to a hypnotized individual and intended to be performed at some later time.  Let's say after I have mesmerized you, I tell you that whenever you hear the word "crystal" you will think of Lady Krystal Mesmer.  Once you have awakened from your trance, my statement about what you will do when you hear the word "crystal" is for you a posthypnotic suggestion (or PHS.)  A PHS is frequently given to prompt some action by the hypnosis client.  A hypnotic trigger is a kind of PHS.

An Erotic Hypnotist?

An erotic hypnotist is someone with the training and--shall we say--physical assets (such as: a velvety voice, mesmerizing emerald eyes, beautiful breasts; and long and lovely legs) to practice the art and science of inducing an erotic hypnotic trance in a willing participant.  A subject's sensual attraction to his beautiful hypnotist will aid in releasing inhibitions and will enhance the hypnosis process ultimately intensifying the client's feelings and desires for playful yet passionate pleasures and sensuous satisfaction.
